Cupcakes

I am no profressional; but I also enjoy baking/decorating cakes. These are just a couple I have done over the last couple of years. The ice cream cones I made for my oldest daughter when she turned 8yrs old in 2010. I got the instructions fom www.howdini.com

The ladybugs-I did on my own. I made them for my youngest daughter last year when she turned 7 yrs old.

Tip: Cool cakes in the fridge completely before icing. It helps it not to have lose crumbs while icing and the icing comes out smoother.

I didn't realize that I don't have a picture of the cones by themselves so there is also a regular cake in this photo as well.

Egg Pie (This is not keesh)

This is just something me and the kids through together one evening for supper!! It was very tasty!! Scramble eggs as normal; then put them in the pie crust add cheese and cooked bacon. Place in the oven until crust is browned and cheese is melted. Add as much cheese and bacon as you wish. You can also add peppers and anything you like to this. We just tossed it together really quick with what we already had on hand. Breakfast for supper is always yummy!!!

Our Stir Fry

I have been fixing this for a while now. I don't fry a lot of things; but I have a dish that my family just really loves me to fix. First of all- I bake or grill some boneless, skinless chicken breast until done. I use regular seasoning salt; but you can use whatever you like. After the chicken is finished and cooled enough to pull apart (you can even cook the chicken ahead of time and have it in the fridge for quick retrieval). In my cast iron skillet I add just enough Canola oil (you can use whatever oil you like) to cook tators and leave room for peppers and the chicken and/or whatever else ingredients you want to add. While the oil is preheating-wash and chop tators (I don't peel mine; but its personal preference). Add tators to the oil, when they are done add the chicken and bell peppers and/or whatever ingredients you like. I alway add more seasoning and stir until I am ready to eat it. To have less grease in your dish--drain the grease off.

This is just something simple I through together one evening and now I have to fix it regularly. I just try not to fix alot of fried foods; but sometimes is ok.

2 eggs--keep seperate
3 tbsp. flour
salt and pepper, to taste

Slice four medium size potatoes into one quart of boiling water. Add one quart milk and one onion, thinly sliced/chopped.

Mix one egg with 3 tablespoons of flour until well blended and stir into soup. Simmer until cooked thoroughly.

New Beginning--Decision has been made!!

It is going to be a new beginning!! I decided that since I forgot to take pictures of my first time attempt at Potato Soup that I am going to make it again. I want to take pictures and post it here!! I also had some lumps in the first batch. I thought it tasted good--it gave it the dumpling effect.

But, Soup is not supposed to be dumplings so I will try it again even though it tasted really good and my hubby even liked it and this time I will tell you how I did it along with add the photo of the finished product!!

No such thing as perfection!!! Make it fun and make it taste good--that is all that matters!! Happy Cooking!!!

Stay tuned!!-----Hint--you will definitely need some potatoes!!

Always wash everything before slicing/peeling,etc!!

Recipe Two Coming Soon!!

It is almost time for Recipe Two!!

I am undecided of another round of Potato Soup so that I can add the bacon bits and shredded cheese to make it my own. I would like to start posting photos of the food that I make. I was just so eager to get started the last time I forgot to take pictures. Now that I know I can make it--I am thinking of making it again with my preferences.

If you have ideas of Country Cooking for me to try--please comment below and I might give them a try.

Another one of my favorite to make is meatloaf. It might show up here one day as well!! Happy Cooking!! Remember there is no such thing as perfect--as long as you like it and your family likes it--that is all that matters.

Keep in mind to make sure you know what temperatures to cook your food to--due to food poisoning if it is not cooked thoroughly.
